Dinamo Riga lost first play-off game

Dinamo Moscow vs.
Dinamo Riga
1/8, game 1
01.03.09
4:0

In the first period hockey was fast, both teams had good opportunities to score. In the beginning the game was equal. Dinamo Riga, being in double power-play, held some nice shots in a row and could open the result, but luck wasn't on the visiting team's side, plus Martins Cipulis hit the post once, and Moscow's goalie was very good. Further on the home team started to take the advantage, but there wasn't so many shots on goal by both teams. In the second twenty minutes the game was calmer, although Dinamo Moscow's pressure was getting higher, Martin Prusek was great, but the home team turned its advantage into a goal in the end of the period. In the last twenty minutes Dinamo Moscow scored a third goal and started playing in defence. Riga tried to score as hard as it could, but nothing. The home team however scored another goal, which made it to feel very comfortable and let calmly lead the match to victory.
